Mosaic Sophisticate
Note: The Mosaic Sophisticate cannot be grouted because the different marble stones are placed against each other. Therefore, this tile is not waterproof. We therefore do not recommend this tile in wet rooms. The Mosaic Sophisticate is a handmade natural stone mosaic tile measuring 29 x 29 cm and 1 cm thick. This pattern is available in different colours of marble and contains several small marble pieces that make 1 joint pattern or shape. This wall tile comes on mats and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
Good to know
Mosaic tiles or also known as marble mosaic are beautiful tiles produced using traditional methods. Because natural stone has many colour nuances, the pieces of marble are mixed as much as possible to give as even an appearance as possible. Colour differences are inherent to this product and should be considered normal. Therefore, always make sure you order enough so that you never come up short and have to reorder. The tile is not fired as it is a natural product. One feature of marble and natural stone is that it is more sensitive to stains and sometimes needs to be impregnated in certain areas.
Installation of Marble Mosaic
Marble tiles need extra attention during installation and have their own instruction manual for that. Upon purchase, you will receive a step-by-step plan from us with instructions and points of attention. We advise you to read this manual carefully before installing the tiles. Or hire a good tiler who is familiar with this type of tiles.
Suitable for
We recommend using marble mosaic tiles only indoors. They often give a chic look to a room! Do note that the tiles may need treatment. This varies per room. If you do wish to use the tiles outdoors, we advise you to do so only under a veranda or canopy. The weather such as sun and rain have a significant impact on the appearance of marble and can cause the tiles to fade or the surface to deteriorate significantly.
Custom colors and patterns
Are you looking for a color combination and/or pattern that we do not have in our collection? We can provide custom marble colors and patterns, completely produced to your wishes. This involves additional costs and conditions and the delivery time may be a little longer than usual. Ask us about the possibilities if you are interested in a custom design.
Ordering and delivery
These tiles are sold per box. For help with calculating the required quantities, expert advice or a tailor-made quotation, we are happy to help you in one of our showrooms. Orders can be delivered to your home via our carrier. They are firmly placed on a pallet and there is as little chance of breakage as possible. The cost of shipping is calculated based on weight and volume and will be included in the quotation, if applicable. There is also the possibility to pick up the tiles at our warehouse in Breda or at our showroom in Utrecht. Collecting is only possible by appointment and when the tiles are in stock. If you want to see the tiles in real life and you are not able to visit one of our showrooms, you can order a sample via our website.
Maintenance
Marble Mosaic is easy to maintain. Mop weekly with an acid-free agent such as our own Tile Soap which also provides an extra protective layer on the surface. Be careful with acids, this can cause unsightly stains or discolorations that are difficult to remove later. As soon as there is spillage, immediately clean with water and do not leave on the tiles. This also applies to grease and other liquids. For e.g. grease- or paint stains, we have special cleaning agents available. In case of heavy pollution, we recommend using Azule Dirt Remover. This degreaser deals with most dirt on various types of tiles.
