Terrazzo, back from the old days! This beautiful authentic type of tile is known from the Art Deco era where the floors were filled with concrete and small marble pieces. At Designtegels.nl we have different kinds of Terrazzo. Ceramic Terrazzo, strong but printed and real Terrazzo. This real Terrazzo is made of a mix of coloured concrete and marble or stone pieces, smoothly polished into beautiful tiles. New in the collection are the Terrazzo with glass pieces processed in it for a special depth and light play! Terrazzo is ook bekend onder de naam Granito. Er is geen verschil in beide afwerkingen. Het Terrazzo van Designtegels wordt gemaakt in Portugal. De tegels zijn op bestelling leverbaar vanaf 2 m2.

Installation and maintenance of Terrazzo

The little chunks, colours or pieces are marble. That is why it is important to treat your Terrazzo tiles as if they were natural stone. This means that you should glue and fit them with glue that is suitable for natural stone. We also recommend that you only clean the floor with non-corrosive cleaning agents. This is for the best preservation of the colours in the tiles. Over time, the tiles will become more alive and the colours will deepen. Terrazzo does not need to be impregnated as this is done in the factory.

The terrazzo tiles are suitable for any room! Both on the wall and on the floor, the tiles will stand out beautifully. Classic in your hall or bathroom.
