Item Description

Zellige Metropole Orange Bleu
The Zellige Metropole Orange Blue is a unique combination of four different colours, brought together on one mat of 28.5 x 28.5 cm. These handmade tiles, originating from our artisanal workshop in Fez, Morocco, exude craftsmanship and authenticity. Each tile has subtle colour nuances and a smooth, vibrant surface, which contributes to a dynamic and playful end result. Perfect for anyone who wants to add a vibrant and colourful touch to their interior!

Good to know
Zelliges (pronounced 'zulliezjes') are handmade wall tiles from Morocco. They are baked in a special way and later cut diagonally so that they can be placed very tightly against each other. This labor-intensive work gives the tiles their own look and character. The clay used for the production of Zelliges can only be found in Fez, Morocco. This clay contains limestone pits that can often be found on the surface of the tile or in the glaze. This also applies to small irregularities in thickness in the surface. This is characteristic of this type of tile and should be considered normal. Zelliges can only be used as wall tiles. If you want this look on your floor, take a look at our Plattas and Bejmat tiles.

Places of Zelliges
Moroccan tiles require extra attention during installation and have their own instruction manual for this. When you purchase them, you will receive a step-by-step plan with instructions and points of attention. We recommend that you read this manual carefully before installing the tiles. Or hire a good tiler who is familiar with this type of tiles.

Suitable for
Zelliges can be used both indoors and outdoors. For outdoors: under a canopy, protected from water and sun. A heavy frost can cause the glaze to crack.
They are only suitable as wall tiles. The surface is irregular, which can result in sharp edges. They are ideal tiles for your hall, toilet, bathroom and kitchen. Zelliges are also very suitable for catering establishments.

Colors and sizes
Zelliges are supplied in many different colours. Each batch has a small colour difference. The tiles from 1 box also have colour differences and irregularities, this has to do with the production process and should be considered normal. Zelliges are cut by hand into different sizes and shapes. In our country we often see square and rectangular shapes. The most beautiful shapes are made in the country of origin, which are often processed into mosaics. Designtegels.nl can have Zellige tiles produced in almost any shape.

Ordering, delivery and shipping
These tiles are delivered per box. For help with calculating the required quantities, expert advice or a customized quote, we are happy to help you in one of our showrooms. Orders can be delivered to your home via our carrier. The costs of this are calculated based on the weight and volume and are included in the quote, if applicable.
There is also the possibility to pick up the tiles at our warehouse in Breda or at our showroom in Utrecht. Pick up is only possible by appointment and if the tiles are in stock. If you want to see the tile in real life and you are not able to view them in one of our showrooms, order a sample via our website.

Maintenance
Zelliges have a hard top layer and are easy to maintain. Weekly mopping or cleaning with an all-purpose cleaner is recommended. Preferably use an acid-free product that is not too greasy. In case of heavy soiling, we recommend using Azule Vuiloploser. This powerful degreaser deals with most soiling on various types of tiles.
