Production of Spanish tiles
The production of Spanish tiles combines centuries-old craftsmanship with modern techniques. Although many tiles are machine-made, great attention is still paid to detail, quality and appearance. This makes Spanish tiles popular in both classic and modern interiors.
The production process starts with carefully selected clay and minerals. These raw materials are mixed to form a strong and durable base for the tile.
The clay is then cast or pressed into the desired shape. The biscuits (unfired tiles) are then placed on the production line.
The tiles travel on a conveyor belt through an automated system, where an even layer of glaze is applied to the surface.
