Azule cleaning products have been specially developed to maintain the best quality of tiles. The cleaning products are suitable for both natural stone tiles and ceramic tiles. The products consist of sustainable, natural products that are non-corrosive and non-acidic. This means you have the perfect cleaning product for your cement tiles and ceramic tiles.

Cleaning Design Tiles

Our handmade tiles are made with natural materials. We therefore always recommend using products that do not contain acids or bleach. These are harmful to the environment and can damage the colour and appearance of the tiles. For the best possible results, we recommend using our own Azule maintenance, cleaning and impregnation products.

These are, of course, of the highest quality. Regular use of our own cleaning and maintenance products ensures optimal results and safely extends the life of your tiles. In our showroom, we are happy to explain how best to protect your tiles so that you can enjoy them for years to come. On our website [link to p&b], you will find various treatment schedules for maintaining our tiles.

Cleaning cement tiles

Our patterned tiles require special maintenance because they are made from marble powder. This means that cement tiles must be treated like natural stone. The tiles cannot withstand bleach, acids or other corrosive substances. Therefore, always clean them with Azule Floor Soap or other green soap suitable for natural stone.

Maintaining handmade tiles

At Designtegels, we sell acid-free floor soap and other tile soaps that are ideal for Portuguese tiles, Moroccan Zelliges, Platta and Bejmat, Spanish tiles and marble tiles. These cleaning products offer good protection for the tiles during daily use. Portuguese cement tiles should be mopped at least every two weeks with floor soap, green soap or another mild soap without aggressive or corrosive ingredients.

Prevent stains, maintain your tile floor!

Acidic agents are not good for handmade tiles such as cement tiles or marble. Be careful with products such as chlorine, vinegar, all-purpose cleaners and other strongly acidic agents. As soon as these come into contact with these natural stone tiles, they can damage the surface and leave ugly stains. Also be careful with fruit juice, wine or very fatty products such as oil, butter or mayonnaise. Fatty products leave behind grease stains that are difficult to remove. If the floor is properly impregnated and maintained weekly with floor soap or other tile soap, a protective layer will form on the tiles, virtually eliminating the risk of external influences. If the floor becomes dirty, it is wise to remove the dirt immediately so that it cannot (or minimally) soak in. Do you have questions about impregnating or treating cement or other tiles? Please feel free to contact us.
