Samples are meant to give you an idea of what a product looks like. Based on a sample, you can determine fairly well whether the color, shape and finish are to your liking for your project. However, there are a few things that are important before you order a sample, which we would like to inform you about in advance!

Our samples usually do not come from the same stock as our other tiles. And since many of our products are made in different colour baths, it is possible that there are colour differences between our sample tiles and our regular stock.

Sample tiles are not intended to be used in a project
This is because color variations may occur as the tiles are manufactured in different color batches, and because rejected shipments, such as those with breakage, are processed into sample tiles. They still look good and function perfectly as samples, but may contain hairline cracks or irregularities that make the tile unsuitable for use. It is therefore important to use a sample purely for orientation purposes and not as a full-fledged tile for your project. If you are short of tiles for your project, we recommend ordering a packaging unit of the tile you need.
Home delivery or pick up
Sample tiles are sent by post (DHL). We charge shipping costs when you want to have the sample(s) sent to you. The samples are packed well and securely in a custom-developed sample box. However, we are not liable for any breakage that occurs during transport. Would you rather pick up your samples at our showroom in Breda or Utrecht? Please send an email to info@designtegels.nl
With a sample, you can be sure!
A sample tile provides a good impression and helps you make the right choice. We therefore recommend always ordering a sample in advance or coming to see the tiles in person in one of our showrooms. This way, you avoid surprises and can be sure that the color, texture, and appearance match your preferences. Our staff in the showroom are ready to provide personal advice and think along with you.
We cannot accept returns for tiles that we have made especially for you.
We want to make sure you make the right choice!
Many of our tiles are handmade, and often also commissioned by the customer. It is therefore possible that when you place an order for a few boxes of tiles that these will differ slightly in colour from the sample that you have previously received. Please take this into account or ask one of our colleagues what the maximum deviation will be, as this differs per tile type.
If certain samples are not in stock, we may send you a different shape or size with the same color so that you still get an impression and do not have to wait unnecessarily long to make a decision. We usually notify you of this in advance. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns of sample tiles.
