This means that the stock we have in our warehouse today may differ from a new shipment and may result in color differences when placed together. What do we take back and what don't we?

We believe it is important to inform you well about our products and the associated return policy. That is why we let you know in advance which category your chosen products fall into. This way you can make a well-considered decision about whether you want to order these products. If your order contains products that cannot be returned, we will add an adjusted return policy. With this we want to make you extra aware of the specific conditions that apply to these products. take back unopened packaging.

Our goal is to provide clarity and transparency, so that you know exactly where you stand. We would therefore like to expressly point out that by accepting our quote, you automatically agree to our return policy. This helps us to prevent any misunderstandings and ensures that your order runs smoothly and according to the agreements.

Tiles from our standard collection

Tiles that we have in our standard range, mostly machine-produced and insensitive to batch differences and for which we keep stock, we can take back in unopened packaging. This is necessary to guarantee the quality of our products and to be able to offer them again. For returned tiles, you will always receive a credit note from us for the value of the returned products. Please note: it is important to know that we never give money back for returned tiles.

Custom made or products ordered especially for you

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns for products that are custom-made for you or products that we order exclusively for you. In addition, it is also not possible to exchange these custom-made products for other items from our range. It is therefore important that you make a well-considered choice.


To help you with this, we recommend that you always order a sample in advance or come and view the product in one of our showrooms. This gives you the opportunity to see the product in real life, assess the color and texture and be sure that it matches your expectations.


Please note: if you need additional tiles at a later date, there is a possibility that these may show slight colour differences compared to the tiles you already have. It is therefore important to carefully calculate in advance how many tiles you need, so that you can order enough at once and avoid such differences.

Warranty conditions

Many of our tiles are made entirely by hand and in a traditional way. They are unique and authentic products. Slight deviations in colour, shape and pattern are inherent to the production method and the types of material. These slight deviations should be considered normal. It is precisely these characteristics that give these tiles a special and unique character. For an optimal result of applying our tiles, we recommend that you carefully follow the step-by-step plan. Returns must meet the conditions below.

- Returns must be reported within the set date via the return form that can be found on our website. We ask you to fill out this form in full and email it to retouren@designtegels.nl.

- Completed return forms must first be approved by our customer service. We do not accept returns at the counter without an approved return form. We only accept full and unopened boxes / packaging, in the original condition.

- We do not accept returns on samples.

- We do not reimburse shipping or transportation costs.

- It is possible that you have ordered a little more of a tile product to be on the safe side. However, we never take back more than 10% of the initial order.

- You must take care of returning the tiles / products yourself. We do not come by to collect returns. Of course we can help with arranging a collection transport, but there are costs involved.

- Complaints must be submitted within 24 hours. If you are not satisfied with your order, the order is damaged or products are missing, we kindly but urgently request you to contact us within 24 hours of delivery!

- Custom products (specifically ordered for you in size and color and/or other than our basic assortment) cannot be returned at all and cannot be exchanged for other products. We cannot provide a credit note for this either.

- Once products have been processed into your project, the possibility of complaining about any color differences or inaccuracies expires.

- Related tile products such as impregnating and cleaning agents, tile adhesive and grout can be returned up to 14 days after the invoice date in the original and closed (unopened) packaging.

- We are happy to help you calculate the required tile products. We do this based on the dimensions you provide. However, you are responsible for a correct calculation. So calculate carefully how much you need before placing a final order! We are not responsible for calculation differences or too many/too few ordered tiles.

- Vouchers are valid for one year after issue and can only be redeemed in one of our stores in original condition. This means that we cannot accept copies or scans.

- Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.

- When returning tiles that fall within the return policy, only a credit note will be issued.

- Products purchased with a voucher can no longer be exchanged.
