Morocco Sand
The Marocca Sand is a handmade Moroccan cement tile of 30.5x6 cm and 1.6cm thick. It is a smooth matte tile with lively color nuances. This elongated format can be placed in different patterns such as bricks, half bricks, herringbone or block pattern.

Good to know
Moroccan cement tiles are beautiful tiles that are produced in a traditional way. They are handmade and pressed in our factory as it has been done for decades. Cement and colored marble powder are pressed together via a mold. This makes the cement tile more sensitive to stains and it must be impregnated during and after installation. The colors are mixed manually, which can cause color differences in different deliveries. This is inherent to this type of tile and should be considered normal.
Installing Cement Tiles
Moroccan cement tiles require extra attention during installation and have their own instruction manual for this. Upon purchase, you will receive a step-by-step plan with instructions and points of attention. We recommend that you read this manual carefully before installing and impregnating the tiles. Or hire a good tiler who is familiar with this type of tiles. In a nutshell, it is important that they are sensitive to acids and caustic ingredients. Therefore, treat cement tiles as if they were natural stone.
Suitable for
Cement tiles can be used both indoors and outdoors. They are suitable as floor tiles but also as wall tiles, even though they are somewhat thicker than normal. They are ideal tiles for your hall, toilet, bathroom or kitchen. A real eye-catcher for every room! Please note that the tiles need treatment. This varies per room. For outdoors, we always advise placing the tiles under a veranda or canopy. In the open air, they will be affected more quickly by rain and sun.
Custom shapes
Marocca tiles are supplied in many different colours. Each batch has a small colour difference. The tiles from 1 box also have colour differences and irregularities, this has to do with the production process and should be considered normal. Ordering, delivery and shipping
These tiles are delivered per box. For help calculating the required quantities, expert advice or a customized quote, we are happy to help you in one of our showrooms.
Orders can be delivered to your home via our carrier. They are firmly placed on a pallet and there is as little chance of breakage as possible. The costs of this are calculated based on weight and volume and are included in the quote, if applicable.
There is also the possibility to pick up the tiles at our warehouse in Breda or at our showroom in Utrecht. Pick up is only possible by appointment and if the tiles are in stock. If you want to see the tile in real life and you are not able to view them in one of our showrooms, order a sample via our website.
Maintenance
Maroccas are easy to maintain. Mop weekly with an acid-free product such as our own Mop Soap. This also provides an extra protective layer to the surface.
Be careful with acids or fats. This can cause ugly stains or discolourations that are difficult to remove later. If there is a spill, clean it immediately with water and do not leave it on the tiles. In case of heavy soiling, we recommend using Azule Vuiloploser. This degreaser removes most soiling on various types of tiles.
