Production of Natural Stone
Natural stone is one of the most durable and timeless materials that nature offers us. It is loved not only for its beauty, but also for its robustness and versatility. The production process of natural stone is a fascinating combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology, where each piece is carefully processed to bring out its unique properties.
The marble is purchased in large blocks that are extracted from quarries. These blocks are then precision cut into slabs or specific shapes, depending on the application. This process is done entirely without the use of chemicals, making natural stone not only a stylish choice, but also an environmentally friendly one. The cutting and processing of the shapes is done entirely by hand. Small marble pieces are carefully cut to size, placed in molds and then firmly attached to a mat for easy processing.
Did you know: A waterjet cutter is used for the Mosaic Star and Mosaic Galaxy series. Based on a computer model, the shapes are precisely sawn out of marble.
The Brick tiles undergo a careful process to obtain their unique and authentic look. First, the tiles are precisely sawn to size. Then they are tumbled, a special technique in which the edges of the tiles are deliberately not kept straight and tight, but are given a rounded and slightly crumbled finish. This gives the tiles a subtle weathered effect.
