Mosaic borders and corners
Marble mosaic , pieces of marble in different creative shapes glued on a mat. These mosaics are leftover pieces of large marble slabs, super durable! The beautiful deep colors such as black, gray and white predominate, but green or pink is also possible in the marble stone. In addition, they are offered in different laying patterns and shapes such as hexagons, herringbone, stone pattern or just squares. Because the mosaic is supplied on mats, it is quite easy to place, which you would not say when you see it.

Creative with mosaic!
Because this mosaic consists of small pieces, you can give it your own creative twist, think of a name or small flowers or stars in a different color. How do you do this? You can easily exchange the tiles for a different color and thus create a pattern yourself.
In addition to adding small shapes in other colors, we also have the option to add different borders, to give your hall a truly luxurious look, for example. These borders are also available with different patterns or can contain a different pattern or color than you have used. The border can be finished with a zigzag pattern or in a single color.
How do you calculate what you need?
If you go for one type of mosaic without a border, you can easily calculate the m2. However, do you want a matching border? Then we have some tips.
Tip 1: First, it is important to know how much space the border will take up. Look at the product you want to buy to see the size of the total mat, for example 30 cm. Then take the total surface and do this minus the size of the border (on both sides). The whole that you have left is the size for the inside! You calculate the inside by doing the length x width.

How to make the corner
You can make the corner tile of the mosaic yourself using 2 borders. This is a bit of a puzzle, so we explain it step by step here.
Step 1: The Mosaic is glued to a mat, you can easily cut it with a Stanley knife. You do this step by step, see photo. Do this first with one border.
Step 2: Place the cut border on a (still) complete border at 90 degrees. It is now possible that the pattern is not nicely mirrored, see example. By sliding the cut mat down you will find the perfect (mirrored) connection. See example.
Step 3: Cut off the remaining piece at the top of the entire mat. Then it is still possible to replace blocks of the mosaic for a matching color in the pattern. See example.
Step 4. Cut the remaining mat to size in steps, diagonally.
The corner is not of equal length (isosceles), take this into account when centering your floor in the space.
