Terrazzo tiles
This beautiful authentic tile type is known from the Art Deco era, when halls were filled with concrete and small pieces of marble. At Designtegels.nl, we have various types of Terrazzo. Ceramic Terrazzo, just like the real thing but printed, and real Terrazzo. This real Terrazzo is made from a mix of coloured concrete and marble or stone pieces, polished smooth to create beautiful tiles. New to the collection are Terrazzo tiles with glass pieces incorporated for a special depth and play of light! Terrazzo is also known as Granito. There is no difference between the two finishes. Designtegels' Terrazzo is made in Portugal. The tiles are available to order from 2 m2.
Installing and maintaining Terrazzo
The small chunks, colours or pieces are marble. It is therefore important to treat Designtegels Terrazzo tiles as a natural stone product. This means that you should glue and grout them with a product that is suitable for natural stone. We also recommend cleaning the floor only with non-corrosive cleaning products. This will ensure that the colours in the tiles are preserved as well as possible. Over time, the tiles will become more vibrant and the colours will only become deeper.
Terrazzo as flooring, wall covering, indoors and outdoors!
Terrazzo tiles are suitable for any space! The tiles will look beautiful on both walls and floors. Classic in your hall or bathroom. On a worktop in your kitchen, or on the floor in your toilet. These tiles will look beautiful anywhere. And they don't just fit in with the Art Deco style; they adapt to any style. That's what makes them so beautiful.
