Natural stone such as marble and travertine processed in Mosaic
Every day, large, beautiful marble slabs are quarried in the caves of Turkey. Large enough for a kitchen countertop, the floor in the lobby of a chic hotel or for custom tiles. Colours vary depending on where the marble is quarried. The whiter it is, the more difficult and expensive it is to extract. There are always leftovers from these large batches, pieces that break off or waste from custom-cut products. We use this waste for our marble mosaic! These small leftover pieces are cut into even smaller pieces in the right shapes. Colours are combined and glued onto a mat to create a mixed whole. This sustainable residual product is given a second life and creates a real eye-catcher in any home that will last a lifetime! The tiles give a chic and stylish look and fit into any space, both indoors and outdoors.
Marble, durable and full of life
Our marble mosaic is glued onto mats. All individual stones are cut from marble remnants, sorted by colour and then glued using a template. Sorting by colour gives the product a beautiful, lively appearance and brings a space to life. The colour will always vary slightly from delivery to delivery because marble is not a fixed colour. Please note that marble is a natural product and therefore sensitive to acids, bleach and other corrosive substances. You should therefore only install the floor using acid-free products. Cleaning should also be done with an acid-free product such as Azule Floor Soap or sustainable natural soap.
Various shapes and colours available with Mosaic
The Mosaic mats have a standard size of approximately 30x30 cm and are easy to install. The individual tiles on the mats come in various shapes and laying patterns. Shapes include rectangular, square, hexagonal, chevron and triangular. The small tiles are available in herringbone, brick, woven and many more patterns. They can be installed in any space, both indoors and outdoors. The colours are pure and natural and can vary from the familiar marble colours such as white, cream, light grey, dark grey and black. Depending on the season, we also offer colourful variants such as red, green and mustard. The colours are beautifully blended on a mat.
