Impregnation. Why actually?

You have been hesitating for a long time to get a floor with cement tiles and have finally taken the plunge. Great! They look beautiful, but what do you do if a stain appears? You are very happy with the tiles, but you do not want to stress every time you spill something. The solution? Impregnate!

What is impregnation?

Impregnation is a kind of protective layer for the tiles. Impregnation is very important for cement tiles. For other tiles it can also be useful if they are in a room with a lot of moisture. Impregnation ensures that oil, water, dirt etc. do not get into the tile. It repels everything, which makes it very easy to keep the tiles clean and beautiful. The colours of some tiles even become deeper. So many plus points!
Designtegels has the perfect resources that are specially made for the cement tiles. You can pick them up in our showroom or order online.

When to impregnate?

Before you start impregnating, there are a few steps that are important for the best result. First clean the tile thoroughly, because otherwise, for example, glue residue can get on the tile and if you then impregnate them, you will never get that glue residue out of the tile. You should also only impregnate cement tiles after you have placed them. The order is therefore very important and that is why Designtegels has a step-by-step plan that explains exactly how to best place and impregnate your cement tiles.
