The Moroccan Platta is a wall and floor tile available in various colours and unique shapes. These tiles are handmade, shaped and coloured in Fez, Morocco. The Platta tile is exclusively available at Designtegels and suitable for indoor and outdoor use, walls and floors.

A tile with endless possibilities, the Platta

Are you looking for a creative, graphic tile that offers endless possibilities? Platta tiles are handmade Moroccan tiles that fit into any indoor or outdoor space, both on walls and floors. The many possibilities in terms of shapes and colours make this Platta tile unique in its kind. With the Platta tile, you choose the shape and colour that suits you, and the factory customises it especially for you. What makes Platta so different from other Moroccan tiles? In addition to the variety of shapes and colours, Platta is actually the perfect combination of Bejmat and Zellige. Whereas Zellige can only be used on walls and Bejmat on floors, but only comes in one shape, Platta offers all these options. We are very proud of the Platta because we developed this tile ourselves, which is why it is exclusively available at Designtegels! Together with the factory, we continue to develop new shapes and colours, so there will always be new shapes available.

100% handmade, entirely to your liking

Our Moroccan tiles come from Fez, Morocco. Here, they use a special type of clay that is only found there and is used in our Zellige, Bejmat and Platta tiles. The tiles are shaped and coloured entirely by hand. They are still fired in the traditional way in olive pit kilns. The place where the tile was positioned in the oven determines the unique colour of the glaze. This gives the Moroccan Platta its beautiful colour nuances. Would you like to know how the tile is formed from clay into the final product? Then watch our film about the Making of Moroccan tiles.

The countless shapes and colours of Platta

The exceptional shapes of Platta, such as Art Deco, Cinq, Chevron, Diamond, Facet, Imperial, La Vie, Hexagone and Soleil, can be combined with the most beautiful colours, such as white, natural, old pink, sea green or sky blue. Even with standard Platta sizes such as 7.5x15cm, 13x13cm and 10x10cm, you can give your bathroom or terrace the atmosphere you are looking for. Nothing is too crazy for this tile! Because the tile is 2 cm thick, it is suitable for both floors and walls. They are also suitable for outdoor use on your terrace or in your outdoor kitchen.
